As the official kick-off of awards season, there’s no shortage of glamour on the 82nd Golden Globe Awards red carpet. As one of the few high profile events that celebrate both film and television, the night always brings out Hollywood’s top talent. So naturally, for the first red carpet of the year, the stars have come dressed to win – with equally noteworthy hair and makeup to match. Yes, the 2025 Golden Globes best beauty looks are a forecast of the exciting trends to take off in the new year.
Early on in the night, a few standout looks paid homage to beauty looks from past decades. Mindy Kaling’s sleek blowout was finished off with a deep side part, proving the millennial-favorite hairstyle is very much on trend. Meanwhile, Ashley Graham’s makeup was a modern twist on the beloved ‘60s cat-flick liner.
Ahead, TZR’s hand-picked highlight reel of most memorable hair, makeup, and nail moments from the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet.
Margaret Qualley
A pop of shimmer to Qualley’s eyes was the perfect touch to the “hyper real’ complexion Tyron Machhausen gave her using a handful of Chanel skin care and the brand’s N°1 de CHANEL Massage Accessory, a handy sculpting tool. Her delicate silver headband also lended an ethereal touch to her high ponytail.
Angelia Jolie
Sometimes the most understated beauty looks can make the biggest statement. Take Jolie’s sophisticated half-up, half-down hairstyle, subtly-lined eyes, and your-lips-but-better lipstick.
Zendaya
Zendaya oozed Old Hollywood glamour with her new pin curl bob she showed off for the first time on the Golden Globes red carpet. Her hairstylist Coree Moreno added some BELLAMI chestnut brown extensions to the actors’ natural hair when creating the vintage style, and set the look with GHD hot tools and NEXXUS styling products.
Karla Sofía Gascón
Healthy, glowing skin is always a win, so Gascón’s makeup artist Vincent Oquendo prepped the Emilia Peréz star’s skin with a full routine of Beau Domaine products (including cleanser, serum, and moisturizer) before she hit the red carpet. The actor’s hairstylist Marc Mena channeled Old Hollywood icons by adding loose waves to her hair, adding Great Lengths extensions for extra body.
Nicole Kidman
Kidman’s sky-high bouffant ponytail is a little baby girl and a little Studio 54. Celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel was inspired by the ‘60s and ‘70s when conceptualizing the actor’s Golden Globes hairstyle. For extra volume and body, he added BELLAMI hair extensions to Kidman’s natural hair, and created the pony with Virtue Labs styling products, Kristin Ess hot tools and Denman brushes.
Demi Moore
Moore’s signature effortless glam was out in full force on the Golde Globes red carpet. Moroccanoil Global Celebrity Stylist Ambassador Dimitris Giannetos added loose undone waves to her cascading espresso brunette hair and set it with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong for long-lasting hold and extra shine. Makeup artist Rokael Lizama tied in the color palette of her gilded Armani Haute Couture gown by sweeping shades from Dior Beauty’s Diorshow 5 Couleurs eyeshadow palettes in Poncho and Grand Bal on her lids.
Cynthia Erivo
No award-worthy makeup look is possible without hydrated skin, so Erivo’s makeup artist Joanna Simkin prepped the Golden Globe nominee’s complexion with a full lineup of Summer Fridays products before going in with Benefit’s color cosmetics. The Wicked star also continued her streak of bold red carpet manicures.
Miley Cyrus
Cyrus’ delightfully edgy undone topknot is so rock n roll – just like her. The singer’s hairstylist Bob Recine finished off the style with a healthy spritz of Nexxus XXL Volume Medium-Hold Hairspray to ensure it held up late into the night. She fully leaned into her signature rebellious style with her makeup, too, via a smoky cat eye.
Zoë Saldaña
Saldaña’s soft mauve monochromatic makeup and slick updo by hairstylist Mara Roszak (using the new RŌZ Evergreen Style Cream) is a classic red carpet beauty combo. To kick off her glam session, makeup artist Vera Steimberg prepped the Golden Globe nominee’s skin with Currentbody’s LED Light Therapy Mask: Series 2 for a radiant complexion.
Quinta Brunson
While the ‘90s and early aughts are driving a number of current beauty trends, Brunson’s finger-curled pixie might just inspire a resurgence of 1920s flapper looks. The Abbott Elementary star used her rich chocolate brown gown for makeup inspiration, opting for a complete monochromatic look. To achieve it, her makeup artist Kasha Lassien used various shades from Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow Palette in Tender.
Elle Fanning
The A Complete Unknown Star turned to the film’s 1960s setting for her Golden Globes hair and makeup. Fanning added a retro twist to her low bun with a swoopy faux side bang and went with a sharp cat-eye and soft petal pink lipstick.
Kerry Washington
Along with her Balenciaga hot pink gown and black opera gloves, Washington brought drama to the red carpet with her hair and makeup. Armed with Beauty Pie products, makeup artist Carola Gonzalez gave the actor a bold black smoky eye and rosy flushed cheeks, while hairstylist Takisha Sturdivant-Drew utilized Pattern Beauty products extensions to style her hair in a sleek super-long loose ponytail.
Anna Sawai
The Golden Globe nominee is one of many celebrities who brought ‘90s prom-inspired updos to the red carpet. Makeup artist Yukari Obayashi Bush complimented her hairstyle with soft, romantic makeup, using Dior Beauty Forever Skin Perfect Multi-Use Foundation Stick and Forever Skin Correct Concealer to perfect her complexion.
Ali Wong
Makeup artist Daniel Martin kept the focus on Wong’s flawless radiant skin by creating a soft minimalist makeup look with the help of Tatcha skin care. The actor’s sleek blowout also played into the quiet luxury vibe of her beauty look.
Mindy Kaling
The actor glimmered on the red carpet — quite literally. She coordinated her gold eyeshadow to her dazzling strapless gown. She kept her hair simple with a sleek blowout and deep side part.
Ashley Graham
As an early arrival, Graham set a glamorous tone for the night with her ‘90s inspired updo by hairstylist Justine Marjan with the help of BELLAMI extensions and subtle cat-flick eyeliner by makeup artist Ivan Núñez using Revlon’s ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner and ColorStay Full Time Mascara.
