BRUSSELS (AP) — Charlie Colin, bassist and establishing individual from the band Train, most popular for their initial aughts hits like “Drops of Jupiter” and “Meet Virginia,” has passed away. He was 58.
Colin’s sister Carolyn Stephens affirmed her sibling’s passing to The Press on Wednesday. He died after slipping in the shower while house-sitting for a companion in Brussels, superstar site TMZ.com detailed.
Colin experienced childhood in Southern California, later going to Berklee College of Music in Boston. After college, he played in a gathering called Witnesses guitarist Jimmy Stafford and vocalist Ransack Hotchkiss. The band in the end disintegrated, and Colin moved to Singapore for a year to compose jingles.
In the long run, Colin, Hotchkiss and Stafford moved to San Francisco, where Train shaped in the mid ’90s with vocalist Pat Monahan. Colin got drummer Scott Underwood to balance the gathering, as per a meeting with Colin and Hotchkiss in Berklee’s graduated class magazine.
