Nicki Minaj released after capture in the Netherlands on doubt of trading soft drugs

Nicki Minaj was set free from custody Saturday hours after she was captured by police in the Netherlands on doubt of sending out soft drugs, specialists said.

The rapper was fined and permitted to “proceed with her excursion,” police said in a deciphered post on X not long before 4 p.m. ET.

Minaj, 41, was going to Manchester, Britain, from Amsterdam for a show on her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” when she was captured. Minaj, whose genuine name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, was booked to perform at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester on Saturday night however it was delayed, Live Country UK said in an update.

“Regardless of Nicki’s earnest attempts to investigate each conceivable road to get this evening’s show going, the occasions of today have made it impossible,” the organization said. “We are profoundly frustrated by the bother this has caused.”

Tickets will stay valid for the rescheduled show, the organization said.

Police have not distinguished the name of the individual captured, however when inquired as to whether it was Minaj, a representative said officials had “captured a 41-year-old American lady at Schiphol Air terminal due to ownership of soft drugs.”

In a social media post early Sunday nearby time, Minaj said she showed up at her lodging in Manchester somewhat more than an hour prior. “In the wake of sitting in a prison cell for 5-6 hours, my plane actually didn’t take off for another 20 mins once I loaded up” the brief departure from Amsterdam, she composed.
